Project name: Promover la infraestructura sanitaria resiliente al clima y a los desastres en Honduras (Potrerillos, Pimienta, Villanueva)

El proyecto refuerza las capacidades de los organismos locales urbanos de tres ciudades del valle de Sula para mantener sus infraestructuras de atención primaria de salud resilientes a las inundaciones, los desastres sísmicos y el calor.

El proyecto mejorará las capacidades del personal de los organismos locales equipándolos para utilizar una plataforma digital de asistencia técnica respaldada por datos para preparar y modernizar sus centros de atención primaria de salud con el fin de hacerlos más resilientes a posibles desastres futuros.

Aproximadamente 50.000 personas vulnerables, entre ellas mujeres, ancianos, niños y personas con discapacidad, de tres municipios se beneficiarán directamente de unos servicios de atención sanitaria mejorados e ininterrumpidos gracias a unos centros de atención primaria adaptados y resilientes en el Valle de Sula.

Aproximadamente 30 funcionarios de organismos locales adquirirán mayores conocimientos técnicos en la utilización de plataformas digitales para planificar y modernizar la infraestructura de atención primaria. Además, unos 10.000 miembros de la comunidad, incluidas mujeres, se beneficiarán de una mayor concienciación sobre los sistemas sanitarios resilientes.

Se han asignado aproximadamente $600.000 para priorizar y modernizar 24 centros de atención primaria en tres municipios del Valle de Sula, lo que supondrá un ahorro potencial anual de unos $25.000 en costes operativos y de mantenimiento de estas infraestructuras sanitarias.

Before joining CDRI, Alpana held senior leadership roles at The George Institute for Global Health, Plan India, WaterAid India, and SOS Children’s Villages, leading institutional fundraising and cultivating strategic partnerships for social impact. 

She holds a Master’s in Finance & Control from Aligarh Muslim University and completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School (CSR India). Her work is driven by a commitment to building enduring, values-based partnerships that accelerate sustainable development outcomes.
