Arun Jacob Mathew is on secondment from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the National Project Manager of the CDRI Flagship Report on Disaster and Climate Resilient Infrastructure. He is a trained and licensed architect with over 12 years of experience in international business and partnership development; programme implementation; and sustainable building rating systems. He has worked with think tanks such as TERI India (The Energy and Resources Institute) and VITO Belgium (Flemish Institute of Technology and Research). He has held professional credentials with the Indian Green Building Council, the United States Green Building Council and the Building Research Establishment, UK; and has worked in Kuwait, Mauritius, Belgium, and India.
Arun holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Kerala (2006), a master’s degree in Design of Sustainable Buildings from the Oxford Brookes University, UK (2009) and a master’s degree in Management from the Solvay Business School, Brussels, Belgium (2019).
