HEAT SAFE is a first-of-its-kind evidence-based heat risk assessment framework for elderly commuters combining travel pattern, transportation infrastructure and human biometeorological conditions for mobility schemes in India and Asia. It will deliver novel elderly-specific zone-wise heat risk management plans and address transit infrastructure upgradation possibilities from a heat health perspective. Proposed solution involves identification of elderly heat risk hotspots in Jodhpur city in terms of infrastructure availability and travel pattern, as well as acceptable, preferable, and neutral thermal comfort range for the commuters. Lastly, this research seeks to produce a heat risk management plan for the elderly commuters in Jodhpur.
