At COP29 in Baku, CDRI launched the first-ever DRI Pavilion under the theme “Resilient Infrastructure: Resilient World.”
The pavilion hosted 32 sessions featuring 145 experts, engaging participants from 30 countries and 87 organizations. Key highlights included the launch of resilience tools, reports, and an $8M IRIS initiative for Small Island Developing States. CDRI signed an MoU with UNESCAP and introduced a Mountain Resilience Programme. Media engagement spanned 30+ platforms, and a job fair promoted future-ready DRI professionals.
Recommendations emphasized scaling adaptation finance, geo-contextual solutions, community engagement, nature-based infrastructure, and data-driven planning. CDRI also showcased tools like the Resilience Cost Benefit Analysis and advocated for resilient infrastructure at nine side events, setting the stage for a stronger presence at COP30 in Brazil.
