ICDRI 2025: Shaping a Resilient Future for Small Island Developing States: Outcomes, Recommendations, and Next Steps 

Tenue à Nice en France, l’ICDRI 2025 a réuni 220 délégués de 52 pays pour renforcer la résilience des infrastructures dans les SIDS, soulignant l’importance du leadership, du financement et de la technologie dans la construction d’un avenir plus sûr et durable face aux catastrophes climatiques. 

L’Appel à l’action de l’ICDRI 2025 propose dix mesures concrètes, dont le SIDS Global Data Hub 2.0, des codes modulaires et des unités de résilience ministérielles. Les discussions ont souligné l’importance d’une gouvernance adaptative, d’alertes inclusives et de financements innovants. La CDRI s’engage à soutenir ces objectifs via partenariats, assistance technique et plaidoyer mondial. 

La conférence s’inscrit dans les cadres internationaux comme le Cadre de Sendai et la COP30, promouvant une transition vers une résilience anticipative pour un développement durable des nations insulaires vulnérables.

At CDRI, Alpana has been pivotal in forging strategic alliances with governments, international organizations, and philanthropies. She also plays a key role in fortifying institutional systems and board governance mechanisms as the Coalition transitions into an international organization. 

Before joining CDRI, Alpana held senior leadership roles at The George Institute for Global Health, Plan India, WaterAid India, and SOS Children’s Villages, leading institutional fundraising and cultivating strategic partnerships for social impact. 

She holds a Master’s in Finance & Control from Aligarh Muslim University and completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School (CSR India). Her work is driven by a commitment to building enduring, values-based partnerships that accelerate sustainable development outcomes.
