Project name: Regional Workshop on Resilient Recovery and Build Back Better in Central America and the Caribbean
The CDRI UNDP workshop in the Dominican Republic (April 2025) focused on strengthening resilient recovery in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially Small Island Developing States.
It addressed disaster risk, recovery planning, financing gaps, and institutional frameworks. Key priorities included data-driven assessments, resilient infrastructure, inclusive policies, and innovative financing like parametric insurance.
The event produced a regional roadmap for recovery preparedness, emphasizing capacity building, stakeholder coordination, and integration of resilience into national development strategies.
