Ramraj Narsimhan
Senior Director - Programme Management & Technical Support
Ramraj heads programme management and technical support at CDRI, driving the design and execution of initiatives that strengthen infrastructure resilience across Member Countries. With over 20 years of experience in disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, post-disaster reconstruction and early warning, he brings deep regional experience spanning Asia, Africa, and the Pacific.
Before joining CDRI, Ramraj held senior positions at the Regional Integrated Multi-hazard Early Warning System (RIMES), UNDP Nepal, and the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), where he focused on enhancing institutional capacities for risk-informed planning, post-disaster recovery, and climate adaptation, particularly in fragile, hazard-prone contexts.
Ramraj champions integrated and inclusive approaches to resilience, blending technical acumen with grounded experience to support national governments, subnational entities, and regional stakeholders. His commitment lies in bridging policy and practice to build responsive, risk-informed systems.
Ramraj holds a Master’s degree in Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
