Project name:International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure
Held virtually in March 2021, the third International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI) expanded upon the foundational IWDRI workshops of 2018 and 2019.
The event fostered strategic dialogue among global leaders, practitioners, and communities, exploring key challenges and innovations in resilient infrastructure.
Discussions highlighted synergies with the Sustainable Development Goals, Paris Agreement, and Sendai Framework, emphasizing cross-sector collaboration and the exchange of good practices.

CDRI 2021 hosted 12 virtual sessions organized around three central tracks, with Policy Forums addressing critical aspects of risk governance crucial for advancing resilient infrastructure planning, development, and implementation globally.

Technical Forums addressed priority themes to inform CDRI’s programme development, while Regional Forums highlighted insights from disaster-prone regions, underscoring their pivotal contributions to shaping the global infrastructure resilience agenda.

At the virtual Resilient Infrastructure Marketplace, 62 cross-sectoral organizations showcased cutting-edge technologies and services, spotlighting global innovation and fortifying the ecosystem for disaster and climate resilient infrastructure solutions worldwide.
