A Resilient Health Infrastructure programme, in collaboration with CDRI, Sikkim State Disaster Management Authority (SSDMA), and the World Health Organization (WHO), was launched by Shri Kunga Nima Lepcha, Minister, Land Revenue and Disaster Management Department, in Sikkim.
With the need to build a robust health infrastructure system in the state, the programme encompasses four interventions:
During the course of the programme, over 500 staff from different important hospitals will be trained on disaster response and planning, in the state.
Mr. Amit Prothi, Director General CDRI, Prof. V.K. Sharma, Vice-President SSDMA, Dr. Pavan Murthy, Integrated Health Information Portal in-charge, Shri Tshewang Gyachho, Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, Shri Anil Raj Rai, Relief Commissioner cum Secretary, Land Revenue & Disaster Management Department, HoDs and officials of other allied departments were present. In all, more than 70 delegates participated in the event.
