Suchismita is an environment and climate change professional with over 17 years of progressive and diversified experience in research, policy advocacy, community engagement and capacity building, development and dissemination of knowledge resources, and multi-stakeholder engagement. She has managed and led projects and programmes on national and sub-national environment policy, international climate negotiations, clean energy access, urban climate action, climate innovation, geospatial technology for natural resource management, corporate sustainability, and rural development. Prior to CDRI, Suchismita has worked with WWF India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI); Council for Advancement of People’s Action and Rural Technology (CAPART); and Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO, Department of Space.
Suchismita holds a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Environment Management, and Masters Diploma in Business Administration (distance learning).
She is also a certified Climate Reality Leader.
