Ratnesh Kumar is a research and project management professional specializing in infrastructure risks, resilience, contracts, and knowledge management. He has led design and implementation of international conferences, and global initiatives such as CDRI Fellowship, health resilience, case study research, and innovation. He brings experience across international, public, private, and academic organizations. Before joining National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and subsequently CDRI, he led the design of ‘Risk Management Framework’ and ‘Project Cashflow Analysis Model’ for a Navratna company under the Government of India. He has also worked in field as construction engineer in the industrial projects of Larsen and Toubro (L&T).
Dr Ratnesh holds a PhD and M Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and B Tech (Hons) in Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur. He has edited Conference proceedings, and published in top international journals on infrastructure development, and international conferences at the University of Cambridge UK and the Arizona State University USA.
