Avinash is an applied researcher and knowledge management professional with more than a decade of experience in climate risk management and decision making. His current role at CDRI is centred around climate and disaster risks of critical infrastructure in energy transitions, and in supporting key knowledge management initiatives in the disaster resilient infrastructure space.
Avinash's expertise lies in providing strong research-driven actionable insights that enhance institutional capacity and strengthening governance. His work has featured in invited conferences, peer-reviewed scientific journals, and news outlets.
Avinash is a graduate in B.Com (Hons.) from the Indian Institute of Management and Commerce, Hyderabad and has been a scholarship awardee for his Master's in Science from the Norwegian Business School, Oslo. His interests include global systemic risks, climate finance flows, climate adaptation and energy transitions (green hydrogen and critical minerals).
