Raj is a seasoned risk management and insurance professional, currently working in the Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) domain. He is involved in strategizing and implementing the Finance for Resilient Infrastructure Programme (FRIP), which provides technical assistance to CDRI’s member countries on disaster risk finance, project and climate finance policies, frameworks, and capacity building.
With over a decade of experience in risk and exposure management, Raj has worked with global Re/insurance companies and consulting firms. Prior to CDRI, he held various managerial and specialist roles in catastrophe modelling and exposure management teams with Xceedance Consulting and XL Group.
He holds a Master’s degree in Insurance Business and Risk Management from Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Allahabad.
