Empati Uday Kumar serves as an Analyst in Technical Studies at the Coalition of Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) with over 6 years of experience in the urban landscape, from local to international scales. He has experience in research, policy development, project management, strategy, resource mobilization, financial analysis, and data analytics. He has supported projects in the delivery and management of sectors such as climate change, energy, urban development, urban transport, and infrastructure development. He has worked with several institutions, including the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), UN Habitat, CIFF, WRI India, RMI India, ICLEI South Asia, and various city governments.
Prior to joining CDRI, he worked on increasing non-fare box revenues for an urban metro project.
Uday holds a master's degree in urban and regional planning from the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from JNTU.
