Sakshi has more than 18 years of professional experience in climate change and urban development/environment. She has worked with bilateral development agencies (SDC & GIZ), research/advocacy institutes (TERI, CSE, UNDP), and implementation organizations (CURE). She has gained experience and knowledge in climate change- mitigation-adaptation-disaster resilience, urban planning, and governance, primarily related to climate action planning, climate finance, sustainable development, urban services, and community participation. She has steered national/international partners, developed work plans, and worked on various facets of portfolio programme planning/management, capacity-knowledge development, project implementation, proposal development, M&E, technical backstopping, network building, etc.
In her previous role, she worked as the Senior Thematic Advisor for the Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC), Embassy of Switzerland, in New Delhi.
Sakshi has a Masters of Planning (Urban and Regional) from the School of Planning, Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT), Ahmedabad, and a Masters in Geography from Delhi School of Economics and Bachelors from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
