Les PEID sont confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis uniques en raison du changement climatique et des contraintes de d\u00e9veloppement. IRIS les dote de connaissances, d'outils et de partenariats pour des infrastructures r\u00e9silientes au climat et aux catastrophes, en accord avec la voie SAMOA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ses interventions strat\u00e9giques comprennent des politiques et une planification tenant compte des risques, un soutien \u00e0 la pr\u00e9paration et un acc\u00e8s au financement pour une r\u00e9silience \u00e0 long terme. IRIS encourage l'apprentissage par les pairs, le d\u00e9veloppement des capacit\u00e9s et les partenariats mondiaux tout en promouvant l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes et l'inclusion des personnes handicap\u00e9es. Il s'attaque aux vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9s r\u00e9gionales dans les \u00eeles du Pacifique, des Cara\u00efbes et de l'oc\u00e9an Indien.
