Project name:Résilience des infrastructures de sante à Sikkim

La CDRI et l’OMS Inde collaborent avec le gouvernement de Sikkim pour renforcer la résilience des établissements de santé face aux catastrophes. Grâce à des formations, un appui technique et une feuille de route stratégique, les six districts ont amélioré leur préparation et leur capacité d’intervention. Ce projet exemplaire sert désormais de modèle pour d’autres pays souhaitant renforcer la résilience de leurs infrastructures de santé, face aux risques croissants liés aux catastrophes et changement climatiques.

Impact

Le système de santé du Sikkim a renforcé sa préparation aux urgences par des ateliers, audits incendie et simulations. Un responsable en sécurité incendie et un comité dédié assurent une gestion efficace des risques, contribuant ainsi à la protection des patients, du personnel et des services médicaux essentiels.

Après les inondations de 2023, l’assistance technique de la CDRI a structuré les plans de relèvement du secteur de la santé à Sikkim. Les recommandations adoptées ont renforcé la résilience hospitalière et la préparation face aux risques climatiques et catastrophes futures.

L’expérience du Sikkim enrichit le programme mondial de la CDRI sur les infrastructures de santé résilientes. Les programmes de formations et un cadre d’évaluation des risques sont développés pour aider d’autres pays à renforcer leurs systèmes hospitaliers et se préparer aux risques climatiques.

Alpana heads institutional partnerships, governance, and resource mobilization at CDRI, advancing cross-sector collaborations that drive resilient infrastructure programming across Member Countries and organizations. With over 25 years of experience spanning international development, global health, and the non-profit sector, she brings deep expertise in fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and delivering strategic change. 

At CDRI, Alpana has been pivotal in forging strategic alliances with governments, international organizations, and philanthropies. She also plays a key role in fortifying institutional systems and board governance mechanisms as the Coalition transitions into an international organization. 

Before joining CDRI, Alpana held senior leadership roles at The George Institute for Global Health, Plan India, WaterAid India, and SOS Children’s Villages, leading institutional fundraising and cultivating strategic partnerships for social impact. 

She holds a Master’s in Finance & Control from Aligarh Muslim University and completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School (CSR India). Her work is driven by a commitment to building enduring, values-based partnerships that accelerate sustainable development outcomes.
