Project name:Conférence internationale sur les infrastructures résilientes aux catastrophes

En avril 2023, la cinquième conférence ICDRI à New Delhi a réuni des dirigeants du monde entier autour du thème « Mettre en œuvre des infrastructures résilientes et inclusives » face aux catastrophes.

L’événement a souligné des stratégies efficaces et pratiques innovantes pour renforcer l’évaluation des risques, améliorer la résilience des infrastructures et développer des mécanismes de financement plus adaptés et innovants.

Ces réflexions soutiennent le développement durable via une planification d’infrastructures inclusive, anticipative et attentive aux risques mondiaux.

Impact

La conférence a compté 17 sessions hybrides sur des thèmes politiques et sectoriels, introduisant les formats PechaKucha et les ateliers Re-solving, et lançant deux initiatives clés : IRAX et le Lexique DRI.

28 études de cas internationales et trois recueils liés au G20 ont mis en avant des innovations en matière de gouvernance, de données, de planification et de financement. Les ateliers Re-solving ont renforcé les capacités, et la CDRI a lancé son Programme de résilience urbaine à la COP28.

Au stand d’apprentissage immersif, des organisations majeures ont présenté la réalité virtuelle, l’IA et les drones pour améliorer la résilience des infrastructures et la préparation aux catastrophes grâce à des technologies avancées et interactives.

Alpana heads institutional partnerships, governance, and resource mobilization at CDRI, advancing cross-sector collaborations that drive resilient infrastructure programming across Member Countries and organizations. With over 25 years of experience spanning international development, global health, and the non-profit sector, she brings deep expertise in fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and delivering strategic change. 

At CDRI, Alpana has been pivotal in forging strategic alliances with governments, international organizations, and philanthropies. She also plays a key role in fortifying institutional systems and board governance mechanisms as the Coalition transitions into an international organization. 

Before joining CDRI, Alpana held senior leadership roles at The George Institute for Global Health, Plan India, WaterAid India, and SOS Children’s Villages, leading institutional fundraising and cultivating strategic partnerships for social impact. 

She holds a Master’s in Finance & Control from Aligarh Muslim University and completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School (CSR India). Her work is driven by a commitment to building enduring, values-based partnerships that accelerate sustainable development outcomes.
