Project name:International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure
The fifth International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI), held in New Delhi in April 2023, brought together global leaders under the theme “Delivering Resilient and Inclusive Infrastructure.”
The event spotlighted proven strategies and cutting-edge practices to enhance risk-informed systems, fortify infrastructure resilience, and expand innovative financing pathways.
These insights are contributing to international efforts to drive sustainable development through inclusive, forward-thinking, and risk-aware infrastructure planning.

The conference hosted 17 hybrid sessions spanning policy and sectoral themes, introducing formats like PechaKucha and Re-solving workshops. It launched key initiatives: IRAX and the DRI Lexicon.

28 global case studies and three G20-aligned compendiums showcased governance, data, planning, and finance innovations. Re-solving sessions built capacity, while CDRI launched its Urban Resilience Programme at COP28 Dubai.

At the Experiential Learning Booth, top organizations demonstrated cutting-edge technologies, including virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and drones, to bolster infrastructure resilience and disaster preparedness through immersive, tech-driven experiences.
